InsuitCoverProfAliProfessor A.L.I. is an educator and artist who uses traditional and blended education, writes articles and books, and uses his lyrical gifts on the microphone with spoken word and hip-hop to teach.

He is a Dean of Equity and Inclusion and actively consults with schools on cultural competency, privilege and how to combat Islamophobia.

His published writings can be found on this page, at the DailyKos, and on Amazon Books and Kindle.

He is one of the of the founders of #HipHopEd, a sub-genre of Hip-Hop, which hearkens back to the Golden Era of the Hip-Hop and continues the work started by KRS-One, Chuck D and Paris.

His past #HipHopEd projects have included following studio albums: Carbon Cycle Diaries (2012), Emerald Manifesto (2013), Das Ka Rebel (2014), Xfactor (2015) and Tamilmatic (2016) and features collaborations with Raekwon, Dead Prez, Brand Nubian, E-40, Killah Priest, the Jacka, and his friend the late Malcolm Shabazz, to name a few.
